FINANCING CPAP THERAPY

Medical Card Holders:

CPAP Therapy costs are covered under the Medical Card Scheme. PAP Healthcare will liaise with the HSE on your behalf with regard to payment after you have been successfully set up on the CPAP Therapy that best suits your needs. For further details on medical cards please check the HSE Website

Drugs Payment Scheme:

The HSE operate a Drugs Payment Scheme (DPS), which includes a maximum amount each calendar month, for an individual or family, for the rental costs for a continuous positive airways pressure (CPAP) machine and approved prescribed drugs and medicines. For further information please check the HSE website. It is the patient’s responsibility to send the claim form and receipts to the HSE, as outlined here.

Private Healthcare Insurance:

Some Private Health Insurers make a small contribution to those insured who wish to avail of outright purchase of the machine. These payments are subject to confirmation from your Medical Consultant. The HSE do not contribute to equipment purchases. Please check with your Healthcare Insurer to see if your policy will provide you with some cover for CPAP therapy.

Tax Relief

Tax relief is available for all equipment costs.You can claim relief on health expenses after the year has ended with your receipts. Please find more information here
